Hawzah News Agency- Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli held a meeting with the director of Iranian Islamic seminaries Ayatollah Alireza Arafi prior his trip to the Vatican in order to meet with Pope Francis, the Catholic leader of the world.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi made some remarks during the meeting and said,” We should inform Pope Francis that Islam and Christianity have so much in common; for instance, some of the Bible teachings are mentioned in our holy Quran as well. We both speak God’s words; a true Muslim is no different from a true Christian. There is no difference in what concerns humanity.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated, during my visit to the Vatican, I delivered a copy of the will of the late Imam Khomeini which was warmly welcomed by Vatican Authorities, because the words of late Imam Khomeini were universal.
